Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock band formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1985 around singer-guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist Robby Takac. The group moved from an early punk rock style toward mainstream pop rock, breaking through with the 1995 single Name and the 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl, which contained Iris. They have received four Grammy nominations and released Chaos in Bloom in 2022.
