Given To Fly

Given to Fly is a Pearl Jam tribute band founded in 2014 in upstate New York by vocalist Bob Donahue, and now based in South Florida, where it established a second base in 2024. The current line-up is Donahue on lead vocals, Chris Anastasio on lead guitar, Zack Grehl on rhythm guitar, Will Michael on bass and Rui Pinto on drums, with the two guitarists dividing the parts Stone Gossard and Mike McCready play in the original band and the rest of the group supplying backing vocals. The act was voted the top tribute band in New York's Capital Region, and Saratoga Living has written about the accuracy of Donahue's Eddie Vedder impression and about the group's twin-guitar attack. Pearl Jam themselves engaged the band to play the premiere of the documentary Let's Play Two and afterwards promoted it through the band's own social channels. Sets mix the well-known singles with album cuts drawn across Pearl Jam's catalogue rather than concentrating on the early records, and the group works clubs, casinos and outdoor music parks along the eastern seaboard. Its 2026 itinerary, billed as the Five Horizons Tour, runs through Florida, Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut.
