Ghost Mountain

trap · hip hop · folk

Ghost Mountain is the stage name of Wren Kosinki, an American rapper, producer and songwriter from Northern California who grew up near Sacramento. Born in 2001, he came to music through indie rock and cites Modest Mouse and the Unicorns as formative influences; the name Ghost Mountain is taken from a line in a song on the Unicorns' album Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone? His music blends trap, folk and dance elements with the horrorcore and witch house production and imagery associated with his circle. In 2019 he co-founded the rap collective and record label Haunted Mound with his childhood friend Sematary, and the two released a pair of collaborative mixtapes over the following years. He left the collective in 2021, pulled his catalog down and stepped away from music to concentrate on his education. He resurfaced in September 2024 with the single Apollon, and his debut solo mixtape, October Country, was released through Haunted Mound in March 2025, followed in April 2025 by The Wagoner, an EP made with Sematary. In 2026 he has been appearing as an opening act on dates with the Orange County experimental rock duo The Garden.
