Get The Led Out is a Led Zeppelin tribute act that began in the fall of 2003 and sets out to recreate Led Zeppelin's studio recordings on stage rather than impersonate the band's members. The group's stated premise is that the four-piece original cannot be reproduced live because the records depend on layered overdubs, so Get The Led Out carries six musicians in order to cover the guitar, keyboard and vocal parts as they were tracked. The lineup features Paul Sinclair on lead vocals and harmonica, Paul Hammond on electric and acoustic guitars and mandolin, Tommy Zamp on guitars and vocals, Seth Chrisman on bass and vocals, Derek Smith on drums and percussion, and Eddie Kurek on keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars, percussion and vocals. The members describe themselves as working musicians who were Led Zeppelin fans first, and the act is presented explicitly as a recreation rather than an impersonation. A full concert runs roughly two hours and thirty-five minutes, with about two and a quarter hours of music and a twenty-minute intermission, and the setlist is rotated between dates so that repeat audiences hear different material; the band also plays separate, shorter acoustic programs. The late singer Diana DeSantis appeared as a guest vocalist on The Battle of Evermore and is memorialized on the band's site. Get The Led Out works theaters, performing arts centers and amphitheaters across the United States, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.
