Francis Of Delirium
alternative folk · indie rock · rock
Francis of Delirium is the recording name of Jana Bahrich, an indie rock songwriter based in Luxembourg and born in the early 2000s. She grew up playing French horn and banjo before moving to guitar, and cites Sufjan Stevens and Pearl Jam among her influences. The project releases through Dalliance Recordings and works closely with producer Chris Hewett. Its catalogue includes the EPs All Change, Wading, The Funhouse and The Soft Versions, collected in part on a compilation, alongside the debut album Lighthouse, released 22 March 2024 and trailed by the singles Real Love, First Touch, Blue Tuesday and Give It Back to Me, and the more recent album Run, Run Pure Beauty. Bahrich writes in an emotional, stream-of-consciousness register about growing up and self-doubt, and the arrangements swing between quiet acoustic passages and loud, distorted guitar; the band bills its own output plainly as homemade rock. She is among the most visible artists working in Luxembourg, where the alternative scene is small, and tours regularly in Europe and North America, headlining her own dates since the 2024 album and previously opening for The 1975, Soccer Mommy, Horsegirl and Kings of Leon. A single autumn touring run routinely covers Germany, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia and the United States.
