Emma Harner

Emma Harner is a Boston-based guitarist, singer and songwriter who describes her style as math folk, pairing intricate guitar parts with soaring melody lines. She built an audience through short online videos of original songs and covers, and continues to publish guitar tabs, demos, covers and writing about her process through a subscription newsletter, which functions as both a teaching outlet and a direct-support channel. Her debut album, Evening Star, was released on April 3, 2026. It runs eleven tracks, among them Woman of the Hour, The Axe, Gale, Charlotte, Cowboy Chords and the title song, and was written and performed by Harner, produced and mixed by Jamie Mefford and mastered by Kim Rosen. She has also released a companion live record, Live from Evening Star, and issued the Taking My Side EP in two versions, a studio recording and a live take recorded at a friend's house, alongside standalone tracks including Bricks and Wedges, When You Mean It and i am, a collaboration with Chris Wallace. Several of those songs exist in paired studio and live versions, which suits a catalog where the guitar arrangement is as much the composition as the vocal line.
