Eggy is a Connecticut-based jam band, rooted in Woodbridge, whose four members met as teenagers and came together under the name in 2016. Jake Brownstein plays guitar, Dani Battat keys, Mike Goodman bass and Alex Bailey drums, and all four sing, which lets the band move between tight vocal arrangements and long instrumental passages without changing personnel roles. The quartet pairs original songwriting with extended improvisation, and its recorded output is deliberately more concentrated than the live show: the debut album Watercolor Days arrived in 2019, followed by the Nashville Tapes singles in 2022, the live compilation Eggy Selects: Spring Tour 2023, Vol. 1, and Waiting Game in 2024, co-produced by White Denim's James Petralli. The band has played in more than forty states as well as internationally, and works the northeastern jam circuit heavily, routinely booking two-night stands in the same market. Its 2026 calendar includes multi-night runs in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Toronto, plus festival sets at Adirondack Independence Music Festival and Hulaween, and sit-ins with guests including Eric D. Johnson. Setlists change nightly, and repeat-night bookings are structured so that little material is repeated across a run.
