Edgehill

Edgehill is an alternative rock trio based in Nashville, Tennessee, made up of Chris Kelly on lead vocals and guitar, Jake Zimmermann on lead guitar and vocals, and Aidan Cunningham on drums. The three came from markedly different places before converging on Nashville: Kelly from Charlottesville, Virginia, Zimmermann from Long Island, New York, and Cunningham from Westfield, Indiana. Kelly and Zimmermann met at a college jam session while at Vanderbilt University, where Kelly floated a song idea and Zimmermann answered it with a guitar part; the band cycled through several other players before settling on Cunningham, a change Kelly describes as one of the best decisions the group has made. Edgehill's music is emotionally driven alternative rock with 1990s reference points, built on the principle that a song should hold together played alone on an acoustic guitar. Its debut album, Ode to the Greyhouse, was recorded at Pachyderm Studios and released through Big Loud Rock on February 13, 2026. Kelly has said the title track came out of roughly six months spent holed up in the band's house feeling discouraged, and that it stands in for the making of the record as a whole. New Noise Magazine's review describes deliberate guitar placement, restrained vocals and an open, largely uncompressed production, singling out the opener Drone Song, the stripped-back 17 Hours, Doubletake as the album's most immediate moment, and the closer Innocent for its shoegaze-leaning finale. The band has logged around 7.5 million career streams and completed a sold-out house show tour, and sells the record on vinyl through its own store alongside plans for headline and overseas dates.
