Denton Turner

Denton Turner is the upright bassist for Magoo, a progressive bluegrass quartet based in Denver, Colorado, alongside guitarist Erik Hill, dobro player Dylan Flynn and mandolinist Courtlyn Bills. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, moved to Steamboat, Colorado in 1984 and began playing bass at age ten, later performing with the Olde Town Pickers, Buffalo Commons and Hunker Down. He joined Magoo, which formed in 2022, in 2025.
