CT Grateful Dead All Stars is a Grateful Dead tribute band based in Easton, Connecticut, led by Matt Helm on keyboards and vocals. Helm has performed live since he was 14 and founded the Dead tribute act Terrapin; after more than 200 shows with that band he built the All Stars as a rotating cast rather than a fixed group, combining a different set of players for each date so that no two shows have the same personnel. The musicians are drawn from Dead tribute acts around Connecticut and New York, among them Shakedown, Stella Blues Band, Bone Dry, Spadtastics, Brothers of the Road, Smokin' Charlie and Creamery Station, plus guest players. A November 2025 date at Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport, for instance, was billed with Barry Blumenfield on guitar, mandolin and vocals, Rob Fried on bass and vocals, Dave Frankel of Shakedown on lead guitar, Dave Lindsay on drums, Brian Teagarden on percussion and saxophonist Crispin Cioe, playing two full sets of Grateful Dead material alongside Rolling Stones songs. The group performs in both full electric and stripped-down configurations, the acoustic version billed as a trio offering the same repertoire in a mellower setting, and takes bookings at clubs, theaters, parks, fairs and private events. Rooms it has played include the Warehouse at Fairfield Theatre Company, where it sold out a show, Park City Music Hall and the Palace Theatre in Stamford, with summer dates that reach north into western Massachusetts.
