Chevy Metal is an American hard rock cover band founded in 2002 by the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and bassist/vocalist Wiley Hodgden, later joined by lead guitarist Brent Woods. Celebrated for raw, high-octane interpretations of classic 1970s and 1980s rock, metal, and punk anthems by bands such as Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, and The Police, the group grew from a local side project into a widely toured live attraction. Following Hawkins' passing in 2022, his son Shane Hawkins stepped in on drums to keep the band performing nationally in honor of his father's legacy.
