Carl Jackson is an American bluegrass and country musician, singer-songwriter and producer from Louisville, Mississippi, who began performing professionally at 14 with Jim and Jesse and the Virginia Boys and spent 12 years in Glen Campbell's band. A banjo, guitar and mandolin player, he has written songs recorded by Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and Vince Gill, and has won Grammy Awards for the bluegrass album Spring Training and as producer of Livin', Lovin', Losin': Songs of the Louvin Brothers.
