Canyon Collective

Canyon Collective is an improvisational funk and global-groove ensemble based in Fourmile Canyon, Colorado. Centered around core musicians including drummer Zach Hedstrom, bassist Christopher Clauss, keyboardist Ryan Benthall, guitarist Derek Miles, percussionist Greg Freeman, trombonist Eshan Escoffery, and trumpeter Matthew Wilkolak, the group is celebrated for entirely improvised live performances fusing Latin, West African, funk, and reggae rhythms. A staple of the Front Range jam circuit, Canyon Collective performs regularly at regional stages including Cervantes' Other Side in Denver.
