Cane Mill Road

Liam Purcell & Cane Mill Road is a progressive bluegrass and Appalachian roots ensemble based in Deep Gap, North Carolina. Led by multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter Liam Purcell, the group blends traditional Blue Ridge mountain music with contemporary progressive arrangements. Named the International Bluegrass Music Association's Momentum Band of the Year in 2019, the group has earned critical acclaim and multiple Billboard Bluegrass Top 10 chart placements for albums including Roots (2020) and Yellow Line (2024). They tour nationally across major festivals and acoustic listening rooms, including The Word Barn in New Hampshire.
