Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast is a roots-rock and soul band based in Asheville, North Carolina, fronted by vocalist Caitlin Krisko with Aaron Austin on guitar, William Seymour on bass and Michael W. Davis on drums. Krisko grew up in Detroit and started her music career in New York before moving south to Asheville, where the band formed around 2010 under the name The Broadcast; it was rebranded in 2021 to place her name in front, in recognition of her role in the group's writing and identity. The sound sets rock-and-roll attack against Southern soul, gospel-inflected balladry and blues, and Rolling Stone has described Krisko's voice as one of the best-kept vocal secrets of the Southeast. The band has worked with producers Eric Sarafin, who records as Mixerman and whose credits include Ben Harper, and Jim Scott, known for work with Tom Petty and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and has recorded alongside members of the Tedeschi Trucks Band and of the group that made David Bowie's Blackstar. The EP Blueprints, drawing on six songs written between 2022 and 2024, was released in 2024; its single Haunted By You reached the top of Spotify's Blues Ballads playlist. The full-length Heirloom followed on 4 September 2025, trailed by the singles Heart of Gold and Hello My Dear and joined that November by Everything I Need. The group tours heavily in the United States and Europe, has opened for Mavis Staples, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Blackberry Smoke, Marcus King and Margo Price, supported Elles Bailey on a UK run, and returns regularly to FloydFest and Buffalo Mountain Jam.
