Ben Garcia is an Americana and country singer-songwriter from Colorado. He was born on Utah's Wasatch Front and raised at the foot of the Rockies in the Boulder area, and he started out playing rock shows in high school, working in the alternative scene before turning to country and roots music. His route into that music ran through bird dogs: he built a reputation as a field-trial trainer, and the long drives between hunting and trialing events, with dogs, horses and a Gibson guitar for company, shaped the songwriting he does now. He has released one full-length EP along with a run of singles, among them Sweet and True, Alright Tonight and Give It All We Got Tonight. Garcia performs in three configurations, solo, as a duo with upright bass or fiddle, and with a full band, and has opened for Uncle Lucius, Jason Eady, Ned LeDoux, Kelly Willis, John R. Miller and The Wilder Blue as well as a range of regional acts on the Colorado circuit.
