Appalachian Smoke is a bluegrass band based in Western North Carolina, made up of Mikel Laws on banjo and guitar, BJ Taylor on mandolin, Cooper Marona on guitar and Alec McCallister on fiddle. The members write and sing original material drawn from the history of southern Appalachia.
