5 Seconds of Summer

5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian pop-rock band formed in Sydney in 2011. The group consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Luke Hemmings, lead guitarist Michael Clifford, bassist Calum Hood, and drummer Ashton Irwin, all of whom contribute vocals. Initially gaining attention through YouTube covers, the band achieved international recognition after touring with One Direction in 2013 and 2014. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2014, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 and topping charts worldwide. They followed with studio albums including Sounds Good Feels Good (2015), Youngblood (2018), CALM (2020), and 5SOS5 (2022), touring internationally as a headline arena act.
